Xeomin is a cosmetic injectable that reduces the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles, just like BOTOX and Dysport. However, the key difference in Xeomin is that it is the only neuromodulator that is a purified state of BoNT-A and made without foreign accessory proteins. There are no unnecessary additives, which means you cannot build up a tolerance to it. It may also be a great option for individuals for whom BOTOX has stopped working as well.
Xeomin is a neuromodulator for the purists. That is to say, it’s very similar to Botox and Dysport — only it’s a purified variety of the neurotoxin.
Xeomin is a botulinum toxin that, when injected, temporarily blocks the affected muscles from moving. When the muscle cannot move, it cannot make a wrinkle form. This produces a significantly smoother appearance, which takes years off and greatly improves your look.
Like most cosmetic injectables, Xeomin treatments are fast, simple, and convenient. We will cleanse your face and prep your skin, and then the injections will be administered using a fine needle. Treatment time takes 15-30 minutes.
Side effects are rare and temporary, but may include a droopy eyelid, nausea, redness, headache, dry eyes/mouth, problems with vision, and discomfort at the neck or injection sites. Results may take 5-10 days to appear and may last up to six months.
