SofWave™ is a clinically proven, non-invasive approach to rebuilding collagen and elastin. Using proprietary Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam (SUPERB™) technology, the device delivers high-intensity ultrasound energy into the mid-dermis—the layer responsible for skin’s firmness. By heating this specific tissue to the optimal temperature, SofWave™ triggers a natural healing response that tightens existing fibers and sparks the production of new ones. It is specifically FDA-cleared for lifting the eyebrow, lifting lax submental (under the chin) and neck tissue, and improving facial lines and wrinkles.
On the day of your treatment, we want you to feel completely at ease. After cleansing the skin, a topical numbing cream is applied to ensure your comfort. During the procedure, the provider moves the SofWave™ handpiece across the targeted areas. You may feel a warm or prickling sensation as the ultrasound pulses are delivered, but the device’s integrated ™ mechanism actively protects the outer layer of your skin. Because the energy stays focused in the mid-dermis, the surface of your skin remains completely intact. The entire session is efficient, typically lasting less than an hour, after which you can apply makeup and go about your day.

There is no formal recovery process for SofWave™. You will not have any incisions, sutures, or dressings. Some patients may experience a slight, temporary skin flush or very mild swelling for a few hours, but this is rare and subsides quickly.
We recommend keeping your skin hydrated and using a broad-spectrum SPF to protect your newly treated skin. You may resume exercise, skincare routines, and makeup application immediately following your visit to our Baton Rouge office.
SofWave™ works with your body’s natural biology, so while some patients notice an immediate glow, the real results appear gradually. You will see initial tightening within the first few weeks, but the peak results typically manifest between 3 and 6 months after treatment. This is the time required for your body to fully produce and organize new collagen and elastin fibers.
The results are long-lasting because the new collagen becomes a structural component of your skin. Most patients enjoy their refreshed look for a year or more. Because the natural aging process continues, we often recommend a maintenance session every 12 to 18 months to preserve your results and continue "banking" collagen for the future.
