Never Had IV Therapy? Here’s What to Expect

You will be made comfortable, and a member of our staff will discuss your IV with you, explaining how the nutrients will work to make you feel better. The needle will be gently placed into your vein, and your IV bag will be made.

The IV drip will be connected and you will then sit back and take it easy for about 30-60 minutes as the nutrients enter your bloodstream. We will always be nearby in case you need us.

Once your drip is finished, it will be disconnected and the IV will be removed. You will feel much better, with significantly less nausea and discomfort, as well as revitalized.

How Painful is It?

If you’ve ever had a blood draw at the doctor, you’ll know the feel of the needle pinch. Some people don’t mind it at all, while others get a little more squeamish. Our team members are very careful and gentle with the needle, but we also provide numbing cream if you prefer.

Yes, the IV therapy itself will provide hydration, but it’s important to be hydrated beforehand as well. This is because being hydrated will make your body more responsive to the drip and will also help your vein be more prominent for insertion.

Eat something

Because some vitamins tend to cause nausea on an empty stomach, we recommend that you eat a meal or snack beforehand that has some protein in it.

Bring something to do

Some IVs take up to one hour, so be sure to bring something to entertain you during your session. Popular options are earbuds for music, a laptop/tablet, or a book.

Be comfy

Wear something that helps you relax and can be easily rolled up at the arms for the IV to access your skin. A big part of IV therapy is you being comfortable during your session.
