CoolSculpting is one of the most exciting advances in aesthetics. Rather than surgically removing fat, CoolSculpting freezes it away, without incisions, stitches, or a recovery time. CoolSculpting is non-surgical, non-invasive, and produces long-lasting results. The targeted fat cells are naturally shed by the body, never to return.
Many people, both men and women, are interested in CoolSculpting – and for good reason. Imagine losing a fatty abdomen, love handles, or even a double chin without undergoing surgery! While you need patience to see the results, as it takes time for your body to flush away the damaged fat cells, once they are gone, they are gone forever. The procedure involves applying controlled cooling to the area you want to slim, freezing a percentage of the fat cells in the area, killing them. Don’t worry – your body has about 30 billion fat cells. Losing some causes no harm.
Although you will be losing inches, CoolSculpting is not a weight loss procedure. It targets stubborn fat pockets that diet and exercise have been unable to resolve. If you are healthy, and are free from certain health conditions, you likely an excellent candidate for this non-surgical fat removal process – most people are, as it does not involve anesthesia or incisions.
CoolSculpting is FDA-approved as safe for use. It has been approved for fat removal on several different areas, including:
Your treatment will be easy to experience. You will be lying comfortably on a treatment bed. The CoolSculpting applicator is placed over the fatty area. The skin and fat will be pulled upwards into the applicator and the controlled freezing then emitted by the device. Initially, there may be slight discomfort associated with the cold, but the numbing effect soon sets in. The sensations of undergoing treatment include a tugging or pulling, slight pinching, tingling, and possible aching or cramping. After treatment, the area is massaged to help your body get to work shedding the unwanted fat cells.
Very few side effects are associated with this treatment. The fatty zone treated may be reddened, slightly swollen, blanched, bruised, feel firm or tender, or itch. These side effects are typically minor, disappearing within a day or two in most cases.
The cost of this groundbreaking body contouring treatment will vary, based upon the quantity of fat and the number of areas you want to sculpt. Each treatment results in 24 percent reduction of fat, and you may want several treatments to achieve your goals. An average cost for a custom CoolSculpting treatment is in the range of $2,000 to $4,000, but only a private consultation will reveal what is needed in your case.
Your body needs some time to process the dead fat cells. The first results start to appear in about one month, and continue to improve, with the final slimming effect achieved in about six months. Imagine watching your figure becoming slimmer every day!
While CoolSculpting treatments are fast and effective, they must be performed skillfully to achieve even results. When under the care of board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Stephens, you can be confident that your treatment will be performed correctly, leading to superior, body-enhancing results. Dr. Stephens is a Clinical Instructor of Surgery at LSU and Tulane Medical Centers, where he educates young doctors on the art of surgery. He has established a private, luxury clinic in Baton Rouge, built around making your experience positive, empowering, and comfortable.
Most of our patients are so thrilled with the slimming results of CoolSculpting that they are inspired to eat healthier and exercise more. It may surprise you that you have a limited number of fat cells in your body, which merely swell and shrink with weight gain and loss. With many of the fat cells in the target area gone, you may gain less weight in the treated area, as there are now fewer fat cells.
